Understand the business idea
Demand is the quantity consumers are willing and able to buy at different prices; supply is the quantity producers are willing and able to offer. Non-price factors shift the curves.
In an examination response, the idea only becomes useful when it is connected to the organisation's objective, resources and market. A local gym sees demand rise after a competitor closes, while energy and wage costs increase the cost of supplying sessions.
- Can you define the central concept precisely?
- Can you identify evidence that makes the concept relevant to this business?
- Can you distinguish a possible outcome from a guaranteed outcome?
